We make this drawing ink right here in our St. Louis, Missouri storefront, using an aqueous solution of natural shellac resin as the binder and fine artists' pigments for color. Our ink is designed to work perfectly with dip pens for drawing, writing, or calligraphy: it's thick enough to stick to the pen, but it also flows freely onto the page. South City drawing ink is water-resistant and cleans up with our pen cleaner solution.
